Activity Overview

Wolf Run Wildlife Refuge is a wildlife sanctuary that is home to injured, abandoned and abused wild animals. Wolf run is entirely a non-profit organization that is run by volunteer staff that deeply cares for the animals of the wild. Volunteers work without any salaries and are doing a remarkable job in taking care of the animals. The wild life refuge is located in South Nicholasville, Kentucky. The rescued and rehabilitated animals include wolves, lions, coyotes, pumas, deer, parrots, and equines. Wolf run wildlife refuge is open to public tours in the summer season, only on Saturdays and Sundays.

Things to Do

  • Families can visit the wildlife sanctuary on select weekends, enjoy an informative and interesting guided tour of the facility.
  • You can see a variety of wild animals at the refuge, the animals are well fed and cared for, see a variety of wolves, pumas, coyotes, mountain lions, deer and parrots.
  • Wolf run wildlife refuge runs on donations and by volunteer support, donations are highly appreciated. You can send donations online, too.
  • Visit the gift shop and shop for t shirts, pet houses, gift baskets, jewelry, cookbooks, pet beds, pet treats, pet leashes and much more. All proceeds go to caring for the animals.
