Western Currency Facility in Fort Worth, Texas is a great place to learn all about the US currency. Around 58% of American Dollars are printed in this facility. Things to Do

  • Families should visit the western currency facility to learn about the history of the currency and the money making process. Free self-guided tours are offered Tuesday through Friday. The tour is around 45 minutes long.
  • See dollars being printed from an enclosed walkway, which is suspended above the production floor. The exhibits showcase currency history and the art of currency making process.
  • The tour starts with an HD video introduction "The Buck starts here" in the visitor center. You must allow additional 30 minutes in your tour that are required for the security clearance. You can't bring cellphones and cameras inside.
  • Find unique items and souvenirs at the Money factory gift shop. Buy uncut sheets of currency.
  • Snacks and drinks are available.
