Activity Overview

Utah Olympic Park is a winter sports park that was built for the 2002 Winter Olympics held in Salt Lake City, Utah. During the Olympics, it was used for the luge, bobsled, skeleton, ski jumping, and Nordic combined events. It continues to be used as a training center by athletes, but also features recreational facilities that allow visitors to do exciting activities like ride in a bobsled, fly through the air on zip lines, and tackle thrilling adventure courses. However, it also has more relaxing activities like nature trails for the less adventurous.

Things to Do

• Take a ride in the Comet Bobsled! Three passengers over the age of 16 can climb inside a bobsled with a professional pilot in order to fly down the Olympic track.
• Thrill-seekers should visit the 65-foot tall Drop Tower, a zip line attraction that allows you to experience a 65-foot free-fall.
• Visit the Canyon Adventure Course, where visitors over the age of 7 can conquer an exciting series of challenges 25 feet above the ground using their coordination, balance, and agility.
• Take your little one to the Discovery Zone, an exciting adventure play area for children under 12.

• Take a guided tour of the park! Their informative bus tours take visitors to the top of the the world's highest nordic ski jumps and other exciting areas around the venue.
• Enjoy the breathtaking views from the park's Scenic Chairlift Ride, which is free.
• Go for a family nature hike using the various trails that wind through the park.
• Check out the free museums inside the Joe Quinney Winter Sports Center, which feature exhibits on the history of skiing and the events of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.
