Activity Overview

Take the kids for a fun day out that will also teach them a number of interesting things about life on a farm. The Uplands Hills Farm is an educational farm for children in southeastern Michigan. This is a place where the children can take a hayride, ride a pony, and enjoy donuts and cider.

The Upland Hills Farm has a variety of programs dedicated to children, which include school assemblies, field trips, summer day camps, summer Sundays, and more. The Fall Harvest Festival is one of the major attractions of the farm.

Some of the facilities you can enjoy at the Upland Hills Farm include the People Barn, a building where day camp and magic shows take place, a meal room that can accommodate up to 75 people, two playgrounds, and a picnic center.

Things to Do

• Pack a picnic and enjoy it in the Picnic Shelter, a building that can seat several hundred people at round table and chairs or picnic tables.
• Take the children on a tour of the farm, where they can explore the poultry yards for ducks, chicken, and geese, as well as the horse barn and the sheep barn.
• Spring, summer, and winter tours are available at the Upland Hills Farm and they include a 30-minute hayride, petting the animals, milking a cow, a walk in the woods on a storybook trail, and more.
