The kazoo is a silly and fun instrument but it is an instrument just the same. Make it even more fun by personalizing your instrument with arts and craft supplies to set yours aside from all of the rest. This is a great way of expressing yourself and making your homemade musical instrument unique.
Materials Needed
- A cardboard paper towel or toilet paper tube
- Markers, stickers and other decorative items
- Wax paper
- An elastic band
- Scissors
How to Make It
- Decorate the cardboard tube any way that you would like. You may want to use markers, sequins, glue and glitter, foam stickers, fabric, stickers and more. Make it your very own.
- Cut a 5 inch square out of wax paper and place it over one end of the cardboard tube.
- Secure the wax paper with a rubber band.
- Place the opposite end of the cardboard tube to your lips and hum your favorite tune into the tube. The vibrations that you create while humming will cause the wax paper to vibrate and make the sound of a kazoo.
