Activity Overview
Whether you live in Tampa or are just visiting, you should certainly consider riding the TECO Line Streetcar System. This line connects downtown Tampa to Ybor City, a neighborhood to the northeast of the city. The TECO Line Streetcar System is a great way to get between Tampa and Ybor as well as a number of other destinations along the way or just a simple way to enjoy a ride around parts of the city.
The streetcar system used by the TECO Line Streetcar System dates back to the end of the 19th century and operated until just after the Second World War. The streetcars returned to the Tampa area in 2002 and currently consist of twelve replica cars as well as one original car that has since been restored. One of the cars, known as the "Breezer", even features open sides for travelers to simply hop on and hop off at the designated stops.
