To a certain type of music fan a trip to the Stax Museum of American Soul Music is the equivalent of a holy pilgrimage. The epicenter of southern soul music during the 1960's and 70's and home to such giants as Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, The Staple Singers and Issac Hayes Stax is the legendary record label that gave the world countless classics during soul music's golden era.

Despite falling on hard times after their golden years Stax has bounced back since the turn of the Millennium opening a museum which commemorates the great music they produced all that time again and beginning to release new music once again.
