Activity Overview

Just 5 minutes from the Philadelphia International Airport lies the Simeone Foundation Museum, Neurosurgeon Frederick Simeone's impressive array of race cars dating from 1909 to the mid 1970's.

Dr. Simeone's award-winning collection includes over 60 rare, exceptional cars, many of which have won contests worldwide. Cars of note include a 1938 Alpha Romeo which won the Mille Miglia, a Bugatti-wininng Le Mans, and a “Hippie” Porsche 917 which contains a psychedelic paint pattern.

Visitors will learn about the history of car racing and the particular vehicles themselves, as they see the cars displayed in a mock course on which they competed.
