Santa's Village

Activity Overview

Santa's Village has a lot of history. It was opened on Father's Day of 1953 and has managed to retain a quaint, old-fashioned feel while providing all the thrills and spills customers expect from the modern theme park. There is an abundance of rides, shows and seasonal events here along with Santa's very own "HO HO H2O" water park. As one would expect the park is aimed mainly at younger kids and families.

Things to Do

• There are plenty of rides for the kids to enjoy. They can take a ride on the kiddie roller-coaster "Rudy's Rapid Transit Coaster" or go 30 feet above the park on the "Skyway Sleigh" mono-rail.
• Kids can experience how Santa feels as he falls down your chimney on the "Chimney Drop" or ride around the Village on Santa's Express Train. There are also bumper cars, antique cars, a carousel, a Ferris wheel and much more.
• The HO HO H2O Water Park has many water slides and climbs for kids to enjoy. Right beside it are the Joy Ride Slides, 3 huge slides for kids to ride down. There is also a toddlers' area called Poogie's Pad for the youngest guests.
• Visit the Reindeer Rendezvous house where you can meet and feed real reindeer! (Food is a small extra fee). This is a great photo op, and there are also a number of free interactive games inside the stable where the reindeer live.
• When you enter the park, kid are given an elf punch card. The goal is find and to punch your card at each alphabet elf around the park. If you find every elf you get a prize.
• Visit the gingerbread house where you can decorate your very own freshly baked gingerbread man or woman. The cookies are delicious, and there are a number of other baked goods to choose from.
• During the summer months, there is a nifty water park area with four water slides and a smaller station with small slides, sprayers and a huge water dump.

Santa's Village Insider Tips

• Download a map for each family member before making your trip to ensure nobody gets lost.
• It's obviously best to visit Santa's Village on a nice day so make sure you have a look at the weather ahead of time.
• The Village's opening days and times change quite significantly at different points in the year so plan your trip in advance with their detailed calendar.
• All children under 3 years of age enter for free throughout the year.
• The Water Park's Elf Lodge provides private changing facilities. They also provide a locker service for which you pay $10 dollars and receive $5 back when you return the key.
