Activity Overview

Considered by many to be the finest of its kind in New England, the Roger Williams Park Zoo houses dozens of spectacular animals, including Chinese alligators, giant anteaters, bison, camel, bear, elephants, giraffes, leopards, zebras and more.

Learn about animals from New Guinea, Indonesia and Australia in the zoo's Australasia area. Stroll over to the Fabric of Africa section and discover how zookeepers care for the continent's largest animals inside the Textron Elephant & Giraffe Pavilion.

Admire the remaining animals from North America and Tropical America and along the "Wetlands Trail," and "Marco Polo's Adventure Trek."
