Activity Overview
Founded by local people of Enid, Oklahoma, the Railroad Museum aims to preserve historical railroad artifacts. Displays include rail yards, rolling stocks, videotapes, publications, and the world's largest collection of railroad china and silverwares. The museum is located in the old Santa Fe freight warehouse and is an active part of the Enid community.
Things to Do
- Inside the museum, you will find over a million pieces of railroad memorabilia from dining car china and silverwares, lanterns, uniforms, bells, coach items, and model railroads. There's also an extensive railroad library containing publications, videos, and photos.
- Visit the yard and explore railroad machineries. Some of the engines in the yard are St. Louis-Frisco from 1925, Wanda Lee which is an Army service car turned into a bar-lounge, and several types of cabooses. You'll also also find railroad signs and signals on display.
- Join their excursions. Ride the train that will depart from Enid and arrive in Okeene. Check the museum's website for the schedule and contact them directly to purchase tickets.
- Get your own railroad memorabilia from the museum's store. Choose from a variety of souvenirs such as shirts, caps, postcards, dining china, and wooden train whistles.

- Tickets for caboose excursion train trips are often sold out. Make sure to purchase tickets early.
- Admission is by donation with a suggested donation of 3USD.
