Activity OverviewThe Pittsburg Zoo opened its doors over one hundred years ago and remains an important part of the Pittsburg community. Home to over 400 different species of animals, including 22 that are either threatened or endangered all within 7 distinct regions. Things to See & DoMultiple times a day you can “Meet an Expert” and learn more about your favorite animals. Some of the more popular stops are: The Red Panda, daily at 11:20am and The African Savannah Sunday through Friday at 11:45am. Other animals that have “meet the expert” times are Rhinos, Sea Turtles, Tortoise, Ungulates and primates. There is also a chance to watch some of your favorite animals having their afternoon meals. The sea lions are fed daily at 12:30 and the sea otters are fed daily at noon. Now if elephants are more your style, there are fed every weekday at 10:30am. There are daily shows in three different locations.
