Activity Overview

Make your own Edible playdough out of Peeps Marshmallow treats. If you haven't microwaved a Peep before, this is the perfect opportunity to do so. They expand when heated and instead of tossing them away after the silly microwave show is complete, whip up this fantastic concoction of Peeps Edible Playdough.

Children of all ages will enjoy making it and playing with it and you don't have to worry so much about younger children putting it in their mouth because it is completely edible! Knead and mold it into shapes with your hands, roll with a rolling pin or use cookie cutters.

Materials Needed

  • Peeps Marshmallow chicks
  • Confectioner's sugar
  • Coconut Oil
  • Microwave Oven

How to Make It

  1. Microwave 3 peeps and 1 Tbsp. coconut oil for approximately 15 seconds. The Peeps will puff up as they are heated.
  2. Stir the marshmallow Peeps well in a bowl.
  3. Add in about 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and stir well.
  4. Turn out the sweet dough on a cutting board and add 1 more tablespoon of powdered sugar while kneading the dough.
  5. Knead until uniform and smooth. Add more sugar if the dough is too sticky.
