Whether you're looking for a place to spend a quiet time with the kids, play baseball with your friends, or take your dog for a walk, Newtown Park offers an a great recreational venue for you and your family. The park has multi-purpose athletic fields, basketball courts, a clubhouse, a garden, a dog park, two playgrounds, and several pavilions for public use.
Things to Do
- Pack a picnic and spend a day outdoors with the family and your pets too! Kids will have a grand time on the playgrounds and pets will absolutely love the enclosed dog park. You'll always find a great place to run around with the kids in the 52-acre park. Grills are installed in the pavilion so if you're planning to showcase your new BBQ recipe, this is the place to do it!
- Go for a run or jog at the 2-mile trail that loops around a small lake then visit the community garden to see what the residents of Johns Creek planted for the season.
- Watch out for concert schedules and other park activities such as movie nights and festivals. Newtown Recreation also offers youth athletic programs. Give them a call if your kids are interested to play and learn more about soccer, flag football, basketball, lacrosse, and tennis.
