New England Holocaust Memorial

Activity Overview

The New England Holocaust Memorial is dedicated to the holocaust events of the 1930's and 1940's, the events led to demise of many men and women of the Jewish population of the Europe during Adolf Hitler's regime. The six glass towers of the memorial capture the attention of the visitors, these glass towers symbolize virtues of humanity, human rights, hope and survival. The glass towers are about 54 feet tall and glow at night. Visitors can take self guided and guided tours of the memorial.

Things to Do

• Visit and see the holocaust memorial that has etched the names of the victims of the holocaust and survivor stories.
• The tall six illuminating glass towers represent the six death camps, the glass towers have numbers and texts etched on them.
• At the entry to the memorial on black cube shaped structures one can read the series of events that led to the incidents of the holocaust.
• "Remember" is etched on the black granite paths. The unusual memorial was created and designed in 1995.
• When visitors look closely at the outdoor glass panel of the tower, they can read numbers that were tattooed on the arms of the prisoners.
• The holocaust memorial is an outdoor space, so there is no entry fee and access is easy.
