In the heart of Independence Mall lies the National Museum of American Jewish History, a 5-story repository containing 30,000 artifacts that celebrate 350 years of Jewish culture and tradition in the United States.

Highlighted are Jewish-Americans' immigration to this country, their religious beliefs, work ethic, contributions to the community and the world of entertainment, and much more.

Things to See & Do

View one of the 30 original films or 13 interactive media displays.

Learn about such famous Jewish-American individuals as Leonard Bernstein, Albert Einstein, Steven Speilberg and Barbara Streisand.

The museum's "core exhibition" covers the following topics: Foundations of Freedom (1654-1880), Dreams of Freedom (1880-1945), Choices and Challenges of Freedom (1945-Today), and the Only in America Gallery/Hall of Fame.
