Activity Overview

National Afro American Museum and culture center in Wilberforce, Ohio is one of a few museums that represent African American history and culture with a number of educational exhibits. The museum holds the largest collection of Afro American artifacts, historical objects, documents, photographs and more. Since the inception of the museum in 1988, many Afro American individuals have donated their personal collections to the museum for preservation. The number of collections in the museum is over 9,000 and is still growing. The museum is open to tours Wednesday through Saturday.

  • See the permanent exhibit "From victory to freedom" that focuses on African American lives and struggle in the fifties.
