Activity OverviewDiscover artifacts, history through the years of the civil war, library collections, and get to understand your genealogy and local history at the Missouri History museum. The museum offers history tours, several exhibitions, events and memberships for its visitors. Children can visit the museum in the K-12 grade programs arranged for the school going kids, many family and youth events are held at the museum.The museum was founded in 1866. Special events, such as films, lectures, music and theater, are held in the museum. Children of all ages will enjoy St. Louis history by exploring various artifacts, exhibits, galleries, and doing fun and interactive hands-on activities. A year-long exhibit is currently in progress, St. Louis "250 in 250", that commemorates the 250th anniversary of the founding of St. Louis. Things to Do
