Activity Overview

Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park is home to the tallest water fountain in the US, visitors can get best views of the Mississippi River and the Gateway Arch in St. Louis from the river overlook in the park. The popular public park is named after the founder of the gateway center and visionary of the Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park. The park provides an open green space for kids to play all day. The tallest fountain Gateway geyser operates April through October. The park is open everyday until 10 PM and admission to the park is free.

  • The memorial park is a beautiful place to visit with the family, the Mississippi overlook provides wonderful and panoramic views of the St. Louis skyline.
  • The overlook stands at 40 feet tall giving excellent views of the gateway arch and the Mississippi river both at day and night.
  • The gateway geyser works in the Summer season, the second tallest fountain in the world can shoot water up to 630 feet.
  • The gateway geyser is surrounded by four smaller fountains and the lighting in the night gives wonderful views of the dancing water.
  • The open park space can be used for free play and picnicking.
