Activity Overview

Home to the Cincinnati Reds' minor league baseball team, the Louisville Bats, Louisville Slugger Field offers a low-cost night of family entertainment.

Take in a game on a spring or summer night, while at the same time soaking up the nostalgia of this historic baseball city and its famous Louisville Slugger bats. The design of the field is described as retro-classic, making it one of the most interesting and attractive sites for minor league baseball in the country.

Things to Do

  • Look for the statue of Louisville native and member of the Baseball Hall of Fame, Pee Wee Reese.
  • From April through November, at a cost of only one dollar, take a 40-minute tour of the stadium, which includes a showing of the luxury suite, press box, operations room, visiting room locker room and dugout.
  • Visit the team's store, cleverly named The Bat Cave, where you can purchase Louisville Slugger bats and team memorabilia.
  • Take the little ones to let out some energy at the Kosair Children's playground located near right field.
  • Check out the Hall of Fame within the ballpark, originally built over 100 years ago as a train warehouse, now used for private parties and events. A peek inside will show you photos, relics, banners and more from the olden days of Louisville baseball.
