Activity Overview

The Lakefront arena in New Orleans, LA was built in 1983, it is part of the University of New Orleans's East campus, it's a multi-purpose sports arena named after Senator Nat G. Kiefer. Lakefront arena is home to New Orleans Privateers basketball teams, the venue was also home to New Orleans Privateers volleyball teams. The arena has hosted many concerts and many entertaining events. The 90 acres of the arena's grounds host many festivals as well. The venue features games, concerts, festivals and other events through out the year.

Things to Do

• The lakefront arena is more than a sports arena, run by the University of New Orleans, the venue hosts events that are captivating for people of all ages.
• The Sushi fest in Aug 2015 will feature Japanese entertainment, come to experience best of Sushi, other Japanese recipes, Japanese traditional entertainment and arts and crafts.
• Disney Live event will be held in December 2015, it's a beautiful theatrical presentation of three classic Disney fairy tales of Cinderella, Beauty and the beast and Snow white.
• Tickets for the Disney Live event are on sale now, purchase from the box office, or online.
• The arena also hosts graduations and concerts, some of the notable performers in the past were Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Carrie Underwood, Red Hot Chilli peppers and more.
