Activity Overview
Lake Lewisville was created as a reservoir in the late 20's. In the following years it was expanded and given the moniker Lewisville Lake. Ever since its creation people in the surrounding area have flocked there to enjoy the good weather. You can head out onto the lake itself or simply enjoy the many parks and green areas that line its shores!
Things to Do
- It is easy to get out onto the lake whether it is a boat or something a little different you are looking for. Various companies rent out sportsters, pontoon boats, kayaks, boards, skis, jet skis and more around the lake. Or if you want to get above everyone else then you can see about organizing a parasail or parachute ride which are great fun!
- If you have the time camping at the Lake is a nice way to spend a couple of days and will give you plenty of opportunities to get to know the surrounding area properly. There are six campgrounds in total around the Lake many of which are equipped with electricity and clean bathing and toilet facilities.
- Avid golfers will enjoy a trip here seeing as there are four 18-hole championship courses to be found around the lake. Each one can appeal to golfers of a variety of abilities. Full details can be found here.
