La Nouba, a Cirque du Soleil Show is a permanent residency show in Downtown Disney in Orlando, Florida. It's unique tent like roof and proximity to the Disney Parks, stores and surrounding Orlando downtown area make it an excellent stop for a trip in Orlando.
Things to Do
- Watch the show - the star is a flightless bird who looks like a marionette (puppet). The other characters to look out for are the Titan (the strong man), and the funny clowns. The acrobatics will definitely impress you and there's not a bad seat in the house.
- Visit the shops - there are so many unique stores that are within Downtown Disney, including a big Lego Store (where you can take the boys), and the World of Disney, the largest character store in the area and a place where your little girl can be made up into a princess. These stores also offer items that are unique to the park. Alternatively, you can also browse around Cirque du Soleil's store.
- Indulge in some dining and entertainment - Feeling hungry? There's plenty of places to eat around the area, from the House of Blues, Rainforest Cafe, to Ghirardelli.
La Nouba Insider Tips
- Occasionally you may find discounted tickets to the show on various group buying websites like Groupon or LivingSocial - you can use these to get tickets for a cheaper price.
- Go to Downtown Disney earlier in the day (at around 11AM, when the stores start to open) to get a free parking spot. If you arrive an hour or so before the show, expect to have trouble finding spaces, especially if you are watching the evening performance.
