Things to Do
- Special programs are held regularly which are both entertaining and educational for children and adults alike. There are daily Art Adventures where parents and children work together to complete artistic activities and get to take home whatever they make.
- On Wednesdays story time creates an interactive experience of kid's stories led by the Museum's staff. Kids can practise being a young scientist on Science Fridays or test their acting skills on Thursdays at the Museum's Theatre Games event.
- Amongst the permanent exhibitions are the Potbelly Sandwich Works where children can make pretend sandwiches for diners, the Baby Nursery where they can play at being doctor or nurse in charge of looking after young babies and also the Nature Explorers exhibit where they can learn about a range of plants and animals.
- The Kohl Children's Museum hosts birthday parties. You can choose the Classic or deluxe package and have 90 minutes of party time in a private area at the Museum.
Kohl Children's Museum Insider Tips
- The Museum can get a bit over-crowded and even a little chaotic when it is full so it is best to try and avoid the crowds if possible. The quietest times to visit the Museum are from Late April through to early June and throughout all of September. Generally afternoons are less busy than mornings. It is ideal to visit on a sunny day as that will allow you to explore their outdoor "Habitat Park" exhibit, plus traffic is generally light on these days.
- Members and children under 12 can enter the Museum for free. Active military personnel are entitled to a buy one get one free deal on admission.
