Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park is a fascinating national park that is located just 20 miles outside of Atlanta. The park is home to the battleground where the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain took place, which was an important battle during the Atlanta Campaign of the Civil War in 1864.
