Kell House Museum in Wichita Falls, Texas, is a historic house museum, the beautiful house belonged to the family of Frank Kell, and was occupied by the family from 1909 until 1980. The house was converted into a museum in 1981, the house has a beautiful architecture and is a national historic landmark. The house museum features exclusive furnishings, decorative Arts, textiles and historic costumes. The Kell family were involved in the grain industry, utilities companies, railroad, newspapers, streetcar system and more, the family was among the early settlers of the city. The museum is open to the public all through the week, except Wednesdays.

  • Visit the historic home that was restored to showcase original Kell family furnishings, decorations, seven fireplaces, textiles and historic clothing.
  • Tour the beautiful house at your own pace, or take an informational guided tour.
  • The house has five bedrooms, a spiral staircase, a parlor, a small library, a pool table and a kitchen. The last occupant of the house was Frank Kell's daughter, Willie May Kell.
  • The Kell house is decorated as Santa house during Christmas, the family-oriented event features a Christmas play, ornament making, meeting with the Santa and cookie making.
