The Presidential Library of America's 39th President Jimmy Carter is located in Atlanta Georgia and is open for visits from the public. It is home to a museum and library and hosts regular events which all serve to educate visitors on the life's work of President Carter and related issues.

Things to Do

• The Museum is home to a permanent exhibition that examines the major events of President Carter's long and storied career. There are many photographs and much memorabilia with explanatory texts from his time as President and from other points throughout his life.
• Visitors to the Museum will also get the opportunity to explore a replica of Jimmy Carter's Oval Office. Considering the importance of the actual Oval Office in Washington D.C this could be the closest that guests ever come to standing within the office of the the most powerful man in the world.

• The Museum makes plenty of resources available to educators online. This includes a recently released 19 unit curriculum called "The President's Travels". This curriculum follows the tours of the President throughout the entire course of his lifetime and focuses particularly on how the work that he and the Carter Center have done has helped to people around the world fight disease and secure their human rights. Various sources are made available to educators including primary documents, reports, maps, photographs, letters and more.
• Thanks to funding from Coca Cola the Presidential Library provide a Field Trip Sponsorship Program which covers the transport of school groups to and from the Museum.
• Entry to the Library and Musem is free for those under 16 years of age. There is also a small discount for seniors and those carrying military or college ID.
