If you are having trouble motivating your family to help clean up the table after dinner, try the I Spy a Clear Table Game which will get everyone actively involved in accomplishing this daily task in a way that makes it fun. Sometimes it takes a little silly inspiration to make a tedious task more inviting. It is a great way to get everyone involved in the cleanup efforts instead of simply leaving the table for one person to take care of.
Materials Needed
- A Dinner table that needs to be cleaned up
How to Play
- Fill the sink with hot soapy water.
- After the family is done eating dinner, take turns to spying the variety of items on the table that need to be put away and cleared.
- When a family member guesses the spied item they take the next role as Spyer. The person who originally spied the item gets up and puts it away in the dishwasher, refrigerator, or sink water.
- Play continues until the table is completely cleared.
- The last guesser wipes the table and chairs down at the conclusion of the game.
