High falls in Rochester, NY is a beautiful waterfall on the Genesee river, water from the falls was used to provide electricity for flour mills and industries in the 19th century. The water fall can be viewed day and night, all year round, looks pleasantly beautiful at night. The water fall is 96 feet tall, there is a High falls visitor center on site. There is a pedestrian bridge to view the high falls known as Pont de Rennes bridge.

  • Walk across the Pont De Rennes bridge to get the best views of the falls day and night, there are benches to sit and take in the view.
  • High falls are of historic significance, the falls and the water below was used to provide electric power for the nearby mills in the 1800s.

  • The 19th-century museum building displays many exhibits, visitors can learn how Rochester transformed into an industrial city.

  • Children also enjoy visiting the museum because of its interactive displays and multi media.
