The historic site is located in Independence, Missouri, it is a national historic site that includes the Truman Home and the Truman Farm Home. The Truman home gives you a glimpse into the personal life of the president of the United States, the site has a visitor's center and guided tours are offered on a regular basis. Harry Truman's wife Bess Wallace donated the property to the National Park Service, and it was established as a historic site in 1983.
