The Grohmann Museum displays the most comprehensive & unique Art collection, the museum was opened in 2007, the museum is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The museum features a rooftop sculpture garden, and three floors of galleries with exhibits. The Art museum is named after Dr. Eckhart Grohmann, he funded the museum and dedicated the "man at work" collection to the museum. Museum has a beautiful interior, stained glass and a mosaic atrium floor were designed by a German designer. The comprehensive collection of the museum includes European and American paintings, and sculptures. The museum collection depicts evolution of organized work from farming, mining to industrial work. The museum is open to visitors all through the week.

Things to Do

• See a variety of paintings, sculptures and works on paper in the museum galleries, see European and American Art spanning from the 17th century to the 21st century.
• Other collections in the museum are by German, Dutch, Belgian, French, Bohemian, and Spanish artists.
• The work of Art depicts the evolution of human work over the centuries, the evolution such as horsepower to water power, and steam to electric power is depicted in unique artistic styles.
• The stunning mosaic floor on the entrance features five images of men and women at work, and the ceiling features a circular mural.
• The rooftop sculpture garden has a dozen large bronze sculptures, each sculpture is about 9 feet tall depicting men working with hammers and tongs.
• The museum also has an auditorium, a museum store and a cafe. Shop for souvenirs, apparel and books.
