Activity Overview
Visit the University of Louisville's Gheens Science Hall and Rauch Planetarium, where you can learn from the interactive science and astronomy exhibits, admire the displays of art and technology, attend a science-related workshop or class, and take in a planetarium show.
Informative Planetarium shows educate visitors on the topics described in their show titles: Dynamic Earth, Black Holes: The Other Side of Infinity, Perfect Little Planet, Oasis in Space, Skies Over Louisville: Seasonal Editions, and BIG, which explores the vastness of the universe and shows many of its most incredible sights.
Things to Do
- Attend a laser music concert under the planetarium dome.
- Bring your curious 4-6 year old to the Cosmic Explorer Workshop, where he or she can learn facts about the earth, the solar system, the galaxy, and the universe.
