Frank Lloyd Wright's falling water house is an architectural master piece that is a very popular tourist attraction. The house was built for the Kaufmann family, by an American architect Frank Lloyd Wright, who was a close friend to the family. The house was built right on the top of the waterfall, between 1936 to 1939.

The house is an artistic marvel, and the design inspiration came from the Japanese architecture. The sounds of the water fall can be heard through out the entire house, the house has three floors. The house is surrounded by thick, dense forest of 5000 acres of the Bear run nature reserve.

Things to Do

• Families can visit the place on falling water tours, you can visit and view all parts of the house, the tour features all the major rooms of the house and the outdoor terraces. In-depth house tours provide a broad perspective on the house, its architecture and history. The number of visitors are limited on each tour, so make sure to check official website for reservations.
• Enjoy a delicious Sunday brunch at the terrace on the Brunch tour. The visitors will also get to view the kitchen and the servant quarters.
• You can also visit the area surrounding the house in a grounds pass tour. Explore the exterior of the house on this tour. A hike tour allows you to take in the beauty of the surrounding bear run nature reserve. The hiking tour can be combined with the house tour.
• A wonderful children's tour is offered for kids aged between 5-8. The children will get to explore the interior of the house on an interactive tour, adults must accompany the kids.
• There is an on-site cafe, and a nice gift shop for buying plush toys for kids and other exclusive merchandise.
