Activity Overview

As one of the staples in the Atlanta Olympic Centennial Park, the Fountain of Rings is a favorite summer stop for families. Jump, splash, and play in this interactive fountain emblazoned with the Olympic Rings. Visit the fountain during the colder seasons for amazing music and water shows, especially during the holidays when the Fountain of Rings will perform seasonal favorites along with their classic collection.

Explore the rest of the park and visit the nearby reflecting pool, which is a perfect stop for picnics. Nearby are many delicious restaurants and live music venues, as well as some of Atlanta favorites, like the World of Coke and ATL Ferris Wheel. Because Olympic Centennial Park is so centrally located, the Fountain of Rings are an easy-to-see must-see during your family trip to Atlanta.

Things to Do

  • Fountain Show: Showing every day of the year at 1230pm, 330pm, 630pm, and 9pm, the fountain splashes and squirts to different tunes, including Chariots of Fire, Circle of Life, and the 1812 Overture
  • Splash and Play: During the summer, the fountain is open to the public as a shallow pool. Cool off as you splash through the sprays of water.
  • Ice-Skating Rink: Since you can't splash in the winter, skate instead! The park erects an ice-skating rink near the fountain to accommodate winter visitors.
  • Audio Tour: For those who want to stroll through the park, download this tour onto your phone and learn about the history of the 1996 Olympic Games as well as the architecture and design of the park.

Fountain of Rings Insider Tips

  • Along with the fountain, statues, and local vendors, the park boasts a ton of open space. If you are visiting during the summer, be sure to pack a picnic, bring cash for treats from the vendors, and don't forget your Frisbee, croquet, or other fun games.
  • The park has free wi-fi throughout, which makes it possible to download the audio tour and other helpful hints from the visitor's center.
