Dr Pepper Star Center

Activity Overview

The aim of the Dr. Pepper Star Centers is to act as another tool in the fight against childhood obesity by making ice hockey and figure skating accessible to all. This accessibility is central to their programs as a real effort is made to open these sports up to children who normally wouldn't have the means to enjoy them. The other aim as the name suggests is to try to find the stars of tomorrow and to nurture talent from a young age.

Things to Do

  • The Dallas Stars Little Rookies Program is at the center of the Centers programs. Essentially it is a four week program which any children from age 4-8 can join. Each Saturday these young kids will enjoy thirty minutes of free training from a professional coach with all the proper equipment.
  • If your looking for a way to keep your kid occupied over the summer holidays then why not sign them up for a summer hockey camp. These camps are great for improving their skills in all areas. Most importantly they will be mixing with other kids their age and getting exercise. It's better than being sat in front of games console for the summer! Many of the Stars Centers hold camps for mite, squirt, peewee and bantam players.
