Activity Overview
The Dodge Nature Center is an educational center situated on 462 acres of land. The center is committed to educating children and adults alike in environmental matters. The center has a pre-school for the youngest kids and altogether educates more than 50,000 people in a range of courses annually through their various courses, programs and activities. The center also runs its own habitat restoration projects and there is a working farm on the site also.
Things to Do
- The Dodge Nature Pre-school aims to bring the world of nature into the lives of its young pupils. It is located on a 110-acre area of the Center's Environmental Educational Preserve and offers kids a range of fun and stimulating environmentally themed programs.
- Kids also get plenty of opportunities to play on the Center's working farm. All the programs at the pre-school are designed to aid the child's growth and develpoment while also giving teaching them to repsect and care for the natural world arond them. Applications for enrollment can be found online.
- The Center offers a number of activities for children, adults and families throughout the year. I October you can enjoy the autumn nature, sample some of the center's apples and learn generally about the science of apple growth on their "Apples Galore" activity which is open to all ages. Other programs include chances for children to learn about owls and Minnesota's prairies.
- If none of the programs interest you then you can just come along and walk around the grounds for free.

- You can buy the center's fresh farm eggs and honey from the main office and pre-school from Monday through to Friday 8 a.m - 4 p.m.
