Share:

Activity Overview

Jacobson Park is one of the parks in Lexington with a creative playground. Volunteers built the wooden play structures in 1993 complete with bridges, castle towers, and climbing areas. The playground is meant to encourage creativity and innovation in younger kids. Most residents have named this play space as one of the best playgrounds in the area.

Things to Do

  • Bring younger kids to the playground for a fun-filled afternoon. Expect to stay for hours as kids explore and go on their own active play. The wooden structures brings out a rustic vibe and is effective in firing up the kids' imagination. Kids can run around the wooden deck, explore the castle, and play at the climbing poles. There are also plenty of slides and a sandbox area. Remember to watch your kids at all times to prevent any accident.
  • Older kids can go around Jacobson Park. The park has several amenities fit for older kids and adults such as a basketball court and open play fields. The family can also go fishing or choose to feed the ducks at the marina area. You can also bring your pets to the dog park.
  • Aside from bringing the kids to the playground, Jacobson Park is ideal for walking or running around in the summer. The open field is also a great area to teach your kids to fly kites.
