Cranbrook house is a national historic landmark, built in 1908, the house is filled with fine art, furniture, tapestries and history. It is the oldest surviving manor house, it was owned by George and Ellen Booth. The house is surrounded by 40-acre of gardens. The house was designed by noted architect from Detroit, Albert Kahn. The garden encloses sculptures, fountains, many trees and a lake. Visitors can have self-guided and guided tours of the house and the gardens.

• Families can take a guided tour of the Cranbrook house and gardens, you can tour the house on certain days of the week, the garden is open to tours daily.
• Take a glimpse into the beautiful and historic house that is filled with furnishings, handmade crafts, paintings, tapestry, and other forms of art and craft.
• The surrounding gardens are full of greenery, calming scents of many colorful flowers, a lake, fountain, sculptures and mossy bogs. It includes a sunken garden and a sundial garden.
• Visitors can visit the green house that was built in 1908, and was later reconstructed and upgraded. Demonstration gardens offer many gardening ideas.
• Families with kids should visit the thistle gift shop, the shop stocks artwork, gardening items, and Cranbrook memorabilia. There is also a stunning Greek amphitheater in the gardens.
