Activity Overview

Through various exhibits and programs the Cleveland Children's Museum hopes to foster a love of learning in young children and toddlers through creative play. They have exhibitions in which kids are free to explore and play on their own, with their parents or caregiver and with the other children there. In this manner they can develop motor skills and exercise their mental faculties while also practicing social skills.

Things to Do

  • Toddlers and infants should be taken to the Big Red Barn, a safe play area designed especially for their age group.
  • Children can pump their own gas, drive a bus or a car and buy groceries or even an airline ticket at the Bridges to the Community exhibit.
  • Splash! Splash! is a permanent water exhibit that will teach children all about the water cycle, weather and water transportation.
  • Keep an eye out for magic shows by the Amazing Brad. The local magician will dazzle you and your kids with fun tricks. Though an extra $5 charge on top of the admission price is needed for children to enjoy the show adults who accompany them don't need to pay a cent.
