Activity Overview
The Children's Theatre of Charlotte is one of the largest theatre organizations that has its focus principally aimed at children in the United States. Every year its classes, educational programs and stage productions serve over 300,000 young people and families. Things to Do
- The Children's Theatre run summer camps divided by age groups which are aimed at children from Kindergarten up to Grade 12. These camps usually consist of a full week of day long actvities covering drama, dance, music and art. Each group present a showcase of their work on the Friday.
- Workshops are offered for children from 2nd to 12th Grade. These workshops last for two hours over two days. Programs vary from "Coaching the Classics" in which students get the chance to perform famous scenes from some of the most well known titles in the history of theatre to "Acting Aloud" which teaches beginners all the essential basics of acting.

- The Theatre is located within the ImaginOn Center under which there is limited parking. This parking is free up to 90 minutes, after which rates apply. Often on weekends your best bet is to park in the nearby Seventh Street Station Lot which is free with a ticket you can validate at the theatre after for up to three hours after 5 pm on Fridays, and all throught the day on Saturdays and Sundays.
