Children's Museum's offer children a fun mix of entertainment and education that usually ensure they are a hit with parents too. The Children's Museum of Richmond offers four locations in the state of Virginia where kids can learn while having a ball. Their Short Pump location in Glen Allen has a number of exhibits and classes that your children are sure to enjoy.

Things to Do

  • Young visitors can dress up and act at the Museum's Old Brick Road Theater. There are all kinds of costumes and props for children to use. They can create their own show, choose a part and take to the stage!
  • Take a train ride around the jungle with wild animals on the Museum's Wild Safari Train! Ride with gorillas, zebras and giraffes on a route complete with flashing lights and train noises. Kids can find out about the animals and enjoy the experience of an old fashioned train ride!
