Activity Overview

Part of the Louisville Olmsted Parks Conservancy, Cherokee Park is a large green space in the middle of Louisville, complete with rolling hills, open meadows, woodlands, and Beargrass Creek running through it. One can bike, hike, or walk around the park's 2.4 mile loop to enjoy this bucolic locale.

The park has facilities for numerous sports and recreational activities, and nature lovers will appreciate the many varieties of plants and sightings of such animals as deer, fox, groundhogs, rabbits, turtles, hawks, beavers, crayfish and salamanders.
