Cedar Creek settlement is a restored historic area with over 30 shops, galleries and winery, the historic buildings were built over 150 years ago by German and Irish settlers. The stone building operated as woolen mill from 1864 until 1969, the mill produced woolen goods for the union army during the civil war. The historic building is a national historic landmark, and it is open year-round for visitors. The area has specialty shops, galleries, restaurants, coffee shops, and two restored inns. Many festivals are held at the cedar creek settlement, including winter festival and strawberry festivals.
