Activity Overview

Visit one of the oldest running wildlife sanctuary in North Florida, the Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary is a not-for-profit organization that has been running for last 30 years. Located in Jacksonville, Florida the sanctuary is a home to beautiful and exotic panthers that are well taken care off, many cats were born in the sanctuary and there is a policy of not selling or trading the animals at any cost. The sanctuary can be visited on selected weekends, it offers educational tours year round. The wildlife sanctuary is completely run by volunteers. Visitors can tour the sanctuary on selected days, daytime tours and night time feeding tours are offered for public.

Things to Do

• Bring your children to one of the largest wildlife sanctuaries of the panthers and big cats, many animals are living in the sanctuary including, Tigers, Lions, cougars, leopards, bobcats and foxes.
• Bring your family to the Daytime tours or night time feeding tours, enjoy a guided tour of the sanctuary and meet the animals in the daytime tour.
• See the big cats being fed in the night time feeding tour, it's a guided tour that will last for about 45 minutes. Tours don't require reservation.
• See a welcome video in the beginning of the tour, learn facts and personal stories of the animals.
• Visit the thrift store and buy presents, children's games and home decor items.
• Golf cart tours are available.
• Snacks are provided by the concession stand.
