Activity Overview
The Capital Wheel is a 180-foot tall Ferris wheel at the National Harbor in Maryland. Located on the outskirts of Washington D.C., the National Harbor is a popular attraction that features restaurants, shops, attractions, and seasonal festivals that are fun for the entire family.
The Capital Wheel is one of the newest additions to the National Harbor, having opened in May of 2014. Its design was inspired by the famous Roue de Paris that was originally located on Place de la Concorde in Paris, France in celebration of the new millennium. It has 42 climate-controlled gondolas that can accommodate up to eight people, meaning that the whole family can ride together and enjoy the sights rain or shine.

- Go for a family ride on the Capital Wheel! Throughout 15 exciting minutes, you'll be provided with breathtaking views of the Potomac River, as well as amazing photo opportunities of D.C. landmarks like the Washington Monument, the U.S. Capitol, and the city of Alexandria, Virginia.
