Activity Overview

The Biltmore Hotel is a luxury hotel in Coral Gables, Florida that is one of the most famous landmarks in the Miami area. The historic hotel was built in 1926 with 400 hotel rooms, an 18-hole golf course, a country club, tennis courts, polo fields, and what was at the time the largest swimming pool in the world.

The Biltmore is a popular tourist attraction due the famous guests that it has housed throughout history such as Judy Garland, Bing Crosby, and Franklin D. Roosevelt, as well as its frequent use in television and cinema, including appearances in the shows Miami Vice and CSI: Miami. It is also known for its spectacular architectural design, which features ceilings covered with hand-painted frescoes, marble columns, and a beautiful tower inspired by the Giralda of Seville, Spain.

Things to Do

  • Spend a night or two in the Biltmore - if the adults want some time to themselves during the day, you can drop the kids off at the Biltmore Buddies program, where they'll make friends, play games, do scavenger hunts, and make music and art with trained staff members.
  • Have an unforgettable meal in one of their beautiful dining areas. One option is afternoon tea in the lobby, which features delicious pastries accompanied by live harp or classical guitar music.
  • Attend one of the children's programs at the Biltmore Culinary Academy, where kids and parents can learn to create delicious foods together with the help of the hotel's chefs.
