Step back in time as you cruise along the Ohio River on the Belle of Louisville or the Spirit of Jefferson.
A National Historic Landmark, the Belle of Louisville is the last functioning Mississippi River steamboat which just celebrated its 100th birthday in October 2014.
The Spirit of Jefferson is a smaller vessel, a charming riverboat that harkens back to the days of the early 19th century when this mode of transportation was widespread.
Things to Do
- Buy a sightseeing ticket and enjoy a two-hour ride on the top deck of either vessel, while you take a self-guided tour of the boat. Passengers with this ticket can also take a break from the elements and enjoy a dance in the ballroom.
- Purchase a ticket for a lunch or dinner cruise, and you'll be treated to a narrated history of the vessel along with either live entertainment or a disc jockey.

- Sightseeing tickets may be purchased on the day of the cruise or ahead of time via the phone or web.
- Lunch and dinner cruises must be booked 48 hours in advance.
- The Belle of Louisville and the Spirit of Jefferson both offer a full-service bar, outdoor observation decks, a dance floor and bandstand.
- Only portions of the boats are wheelchair accessible, but boarding and debarking is made easy for anyone with physical challenges.
- Parking exists nearby the boats.
