Activity Overview

Autrey Mill Nature Preserve has scenic walking trails for nature lovers, there are many native plants, wildflowers, herbs and wildlife on the scenic nature preserve. The Autrey Mill Nature Preserve is located in John's Creek, Georgia. The preserve is spread over 46 acres of Ravine forest, there is an Autrey Mill Heritage village on site. There are historic exhibits, artifacts and buildings from the early 19th century that public can tour and see. The nature preserve is open everyday until Dusk, and the visitor center is open Tuesday through Sunday.

  • Visiting the nature preserve with family is a great way to introduce children to nature and wildlife, accompanied with historic exhibits that foster learning.
  • Hike on the scenic trails with your family, the trails pass through hardwood forest, native plants and wildlife, bridges, overlooks, fountains and more.
  • The Warsaw trail features the Warsaw church, the trails are well marked and interpretive, the trails have picnic shelters, as well.
  • To learn about the history and nature of the trails and the preserve, you can tune into the audio tours using your phone.
  • See the historic heritage village, don't forget to see the animal exhibits in the visitor center.
