Activity Overview

A visit to the Amon Carter Museum is an excellent opportunity for the entire family to discover the works of some of the most famous American of the 19th and 20th century. From Georgia O'Keefe works to painting and sculptures by Frederic Remington and Charles M. Russel, this museum is home to a wealthy permanent collection. Temporary exhibitions are also available over the year.

The museum opened in 1961 and was funded by Amon G. Carter Sr, who wanted to preserve some of the finest examples of American Art.

The Amon Carter Museum is free to visit and can be accessed from the Forth Worth Transportation Authority's 2, 7, and 57 buses.
