Activity Overview
Fairfield's Allan Witt Park has plenty of amenities for families from the surrounding areas. Best of all is their aquatics center which has indoor and outdoor sections for everyone to enjoy. The rest of the park is full of softball fields, tennis courts, picnic areas and open grassy patches and sees a lot of use from locals, particularly during the summer months.
Things to Do
- The Aquatic Center's indoor area has a retractable roof and a lazy river which you can simply float along or try to swim against if you feel like some real exercise! Outside you will find kid's slides, water dumping features, spray guns and more. There is ample shade outside for people to take a break. - Aside from the Aquatic Center there is a lot to take advantage of at Allan Witt Park. With multiple softball, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts along with horseshoe pits and a skate park visitors shouldn't be stuck for things to do. There are also some nice picnic areas with barbecue pits which you can reserve in advance.
Allan Witt Park Insider Tips
- There are always plenty of lifeguards on duty in the park's Aquatic Center. It is good to know your children are in safe hands but of course always keep a close eye on them too.
- Remember that the summer sun can be strong here. If you are visiting the park when the sun is out, and particularly if you pay a visit to the Aquatic Center, make sure that you load up on sunscreen!
